You can now personalize any book order for just $1 per book! This option is perfect for printing copies you would like to personalize for particular individuals or events.
How Personalization Works
When you add personalization, one additional page of the content you enter will be inserted as the very first page of your book at the time it’s printed. All other orders of your book will remain unchanged unless you add personalization to other orders. If you add personalization to your order, you can rest assured that the orders from retailers, libraries, Amazon orders direct from consumers, etc. will all still be printed as you originally uploaded your files. Only the books in orders you place and personalize will receive personalization. Pretty cool, right?! That’s the beauty of print on demand and awesome technology, my friends.
Simply click “Personalize It!” when placing your next order, and you’ll be provided with more instructions and a box to add your personalization.
You’re invited to add text and even an image, but be sure your image meets the standards outlined in our File Creation Guide to ensure it turns out clearly. And if your book is set up to print with a black and white interior and you upload a color image or colored text, please realize these colors will not appear on your personalized page. Books set up to print with black and white interiors will remain black and white, regardless of the colors used in a personalized page. Be sure to take advantage of the preview function before submitting your order to make sure your personalized page looks the way it should!
Get Creative
We’re sure you’ll come up with even more ways to use this new feature than we could possibly imagine, and that’s the point. This option in your account is for you! So make it personal to you. Here are just a few ideas:
- One-Off Dedications: Ordering your book for a giveaway winner or friend’s birthday? Add a special inscription to make this copy just for them.
- Letters to Readers: Ordering multiple copies for a book club’s monthly read? Thank members for choosing your book as their selection this month and tease some discussion questions for the group to consider.
- Commemorate an Occasion: Ordering for an event at which you’ll be speaking? Thank attendees for joining and hit on some of your key talking points with suggestions of how they can get involved with your topic.
We hope you enjoy this new feature!
