GAP - Guaranteed Availability Program

How does the GAP program work?
Ingram Book Company (IBC) supplies books to bookstores, libraries, retailers, schools, etc. If a book is out of stock at IBC and set up in GAP, the book is printed by Lightning Source and the order is fulfilled by Ingram.

When Ingram receives additional stock from the publisher, the print-on-demand printing of that book will stop.

This allows a publisher's book to never go out of stock, so they never miss a sale.

Lightning Source publishers interested in using Ingram's Guaranteed Availability Program should contact a Lightning Source sales representative to inquire if they qualify.
